Day 12: Dark Lady

Day 9: Walking in Memphis

You get two legends in one wallpaper today! It's Cher dressing up as the King from the music video of her 1995 version of "Walking in Memphis" (originally performed by Marc Cohn). She brought back the outfit at the 2002 VH1 Divas Live event for the Elvis Tribute Finale Medley.

The famous "Bang Bang" song was Cher's biggest solo hit of the 60's! She made another version in the 80's with a darker and more dramatic tone which she performed in concerts including the Farewell Tour.

Today's new addition to the wallpaper collection is "The Way of Love"! This song was originally written with French lyrics as "J'ai le mal de toi" in 1960. The first English rendition was issued in 1966 by singer Kathy Kirby and Cher made it her own in 1972 on the album Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves. It remained in the set list of her latest concert tours to this date.

Now, what's new for the "Cher Playing Cards" project? Well, all 54 cards are designed, ready to be printed if the proper funding was there. It would be great to have them in time to celebrate Cher's new album, wouldn'it? The next step will be to knock at the door of manufacturers and hope one will be interested to pick them up...
